  • New online exhibit educates community on history of Ohioans in a nuclear world

    New innovative technology will be used to educate local schools about the historical involvement of Ohioans in the anti-nuclear movement. The Peace Resource Center (PRC) at Wilmington College, driven by its mission to share the stories of Hiroshima and Nagasaki A-bomb survivors and the nonviolent legacies of nuclear disarmament activists, is expanding its historical archives into innovative online digital exhibits that will be available to the Ohio public.

    Southern State Community College has released its president’s and dean’s list for academic excellence for Spring Semester 2017. To be eligible for the president’s list, a student must maintain a 4.0 grade point average while carrying a specific number of academic credit hours. Those who achieve the dean’s list are full-time students who have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0.

    The state’s three leading education management organizations submitted testimony in the Ohio Senate Tuesday expressing opposition to a specific provision in the state biennial budget bill. The provision in Amended Substitute House Bill 49 would require a school district or other local government entity that loses an appeal of a property valuation case to pay property owners’ attorney fees and costs.
