I just received the following letter and card from an individual signed only as “Janet” with no return address. I would like to meet Janet and invite her to come over and look at the Christmas decorations I have on display on East Main Street in Hillsboro.

The Cupp/Patterson Fair School Funding Plan is on schedule to be enacted before Dec. 31, 2020. It spells out the components of a quality education and puts a price tag on those components. It provides a formula that, when fully-funded, will allow all districts to offer a quality education.

Although the Hillsboro Swimming Pool (Hillsboro Swim Organization, Inc.) did not open for the 2020 season due to COVID-19, this has been a busy year of transition of pool ownership. The merger from the Hillsboro Swimming Pool to the new non-profit 501(c)3 Hillsboro Swim Organization, Inc. (HSO) is almost complete.
