When Jesus gave the disciples the Holy Spirit, the Bible says, “he breathed on them…”. Jesus was blowing upon them a big loving kiss from His Father. There is no way God will ever get bored doing that. Go out and witness to others how much God is madly in love with us.

Ladies and gentlemen, when we paused last time at the beginning of the 20th century on the long and winding road to the Brown-Roush Ohio Sesquicentennial Farm owned by my parents, Ken and Judy Roush of Highland County, we finally wrapped up the John Brown/Marion Britton saga that began in the 1880s and in a way never ended until Britton and Mary Brown Roush passed away in the 1930s.

When I was an attorney, the most important tool that I held in my hand was my pen. When I was in trial, I took notes on every word said, circling those that I intended to come back to with follow-up questions on my cross examination.

  • President Trump's commitment to agriculture
    Wednesday, May 27, 2020 6:48 PM
Every day, we use the food, feed, fuel, and fiber produced by American agriculture. In times of strain such as the COVID-19 pandemic, these men and women need allies more than ever. Fortunately, President Trump has made it a point to highlight the work rural communities do to feed America and the rest of the world.

“School choice is admirable – when Ohio can afford it. But the Ohio Constitution, which every legislator swears to uphold, requires him or her to “secure a thorough and efficient system of common schools throughout the state.” That is, the General Assembly’s sworn duty is to adequately fund Ohio’s public schools – first.” – Thomas Suddes, cleveland.com

If the federal government twists its own laws and arbitrarily threatens to expropriate these patents, then private research funding will grow scarce. More patients will suffer and die as a result of this deadly pandemic and future pandemics.

  • We can become truly exceptional again
    Tuesday, May 26, 2020 9:33 AM
We have a choice. We can continue to lose ground globally. But if we choose to build and strive to reach our potential, we can become, without doubt, truly exceptional again.

  • One good thing about the lockdown
    Tuesday, May 26, 2020 9:25 AM
One of the few good things to come out of the government-mandated shutdown is that many parents have started homeschooling their children. Many of these parents are likely to continue homeschooling after the government schools reopen.

Barring any further investigation or criminal charges, members of the community are owed three things: An approximate expense report from all taxpayer-funded agencies involved in this, a reimbursement of donated funds, and a sincere apology from whoever was involved in causing the so-called panic.

  • If we do another COVID-19 relief bill in the Senate, it won’t look anything like Speaker Pelosi’s bill
    Monday, May 25, 2020 8:17 AM
The “phase four” bill that passed the House of Representatives recently is a non-starter in the Senate. Speaker Pelosi’s $3 trillion bill is a socialist wish list that includes taxpayer funding for abortion, funding for cannabis, incentives for illegal immigration, and the federalization of our election system among other things.
