It was one for the ages, and that is the literal meaning for the Whiteoak Wildcats on Friday night. A starting lineup that consists of two freshmen and one sophomore, junior and senior took the visiting Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs on a ride that saw WHS lead by as many as 10 points in the final minutes of the frame between the two Southern Hills Athletic Conference counterparts.

    It hadn’t happened in a decade, but for the first time since the 2008 season the Fairfield Lady Lions defeated the visiting Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs by a 61-52 score, and they did so by holding on to the lead at the conclusion of every quarter.
